AAF Greenville Minority High School Internship ProgramDeadline May19th, 2017
This internship offers a minority high school student the opportunity to gain insightful experience and establish contacts within the advertising industry.
Selected students participate in a two-week summer internship program that places them in various host organizations throughout the area. The selected students are rewarded with a $500 scholarship towards post-secondary education. The interns are eligible for a chance at a $1,000 college scholarship from AAF District Three, which represents clubs of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. An AAF Greenville student has been selected for this additional scholarship in three of the past six years.
Through this experience, the intern gains an understanding of the different disciplines and opportunities that exist within the fields of advertising and marketing.

Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships Deadline March 1 Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation. This year, BAM will award two US$5,000 scholarships to outstanding high-school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology. The scholarships are renewable, so winners who continue to meet the criteria can receive an annual $5,000 award for up to four years.

DACA Students—TheDream.US Deadline February 1, 2017 and March 8, 2017 is the largest college access program for DREAMers (undocumented youth) in the country. We have two scholarships, the National Scholarships for DREAMers who live in one of the 14 states (and DC) that offer in-state tuition for DREAMers for 70+ Partner Colleges, and the Opportunity Scholarship which is for DREAMers who live in locked-out states (like South Carolina) to go to college outside of their state to one of five Partner Colleges in CT, DE, DC, OR, and TN.
The National Scholarship Award covers tuition and fees up to a maximum of $12,500 for an associate’s degree and $25,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The Opportunity Scholarship covers tuition and fees up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The Awards are renewable each year – and all the requirements are also on our website. Jackie Robinson Foundation Deadline February 15, 2017 Once chosen from a national, selective process, “Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars” receive a generous four-year grant to assist with the costs of attending the college or university of their choice and are enrolled in JRF’s celebrated mentoring curriculum. JRF’s four-year curriculum enables students to navigate the college environment effectively, explore career options, develop leadership skills and embrace a commitment to service. Throughout the four-year program, JRF also promotes the values and character traits embodied in the heroic life of its namesake. “JRF Scholars” receive grants of up to $28,000 over four years to complement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. In addition, Scholars are financially sponsored to attend JRF’s annual four-day “Mentoring and Leadership Conference” in New York City as well as other regional events throughout the year.
The JRF scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Additional fellowships are given to JRF Scholars to pursue opportunities to work and study abroad, and for post-graduate education.

NAFEPA Deadline January 17, 2017
Students are eligible to apply if they are currently in their senior year of high school and presently enrolled in a public or charter school or school district served by NAFEPA members, or if they are students currently enrolled as freshmen in an accredited college or university. Two scholarships will be awarded to students who are pursuing degrees in Education. Two scholarships may be awarded for pursuit in Education or any other major.
Since South Carolina has 100 or more NAFEPA members, we will be able to select two nominees to represent our state this year. So, please share this information with the appropriate personnel at all of your high schools as soon as possible.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Foundation (SCLEOF) Deadline February 20, 2017 will award $7,000 in Scholarships in 2017 to 3 graduating high school seniors. SCLEOA has been the Voice of Law Enforcement in South Carolina since 1941. Today, nearly 7,000 officers, representing every rank in municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies, comprise the membership of our association.
The SCLEOF will award one $3,000 scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors in the coming year. One of the $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to the child of an SCLEOA member.
To be considered for a scholarship, a completed application
(including transcript and essay) must be received by the SCLEOF or
postmarked no later than Monday, February 20, 2017 at the end of the

Sirrine Scholarship Deadline April 15, 2017
Sirrine Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of four years for undergraduate study at a two- or four-year institution. Sirrine Scholarships are renewable for a maximum of three (3) years, provided the student maintains satisfactory progress toward the completion of his/her program of studies. Renewals are not automatic; the student must reapply each year.
There are three (3) different applications for applying for the Sirrine Scholarship.
New Applicant – A student has never applied for the J. E. Sirrine Scholarship or has never been awarded the scholarship. A student must be a graduate of the class of 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017 in order to apply for the 2017-2018 academic school year.
Renewal Applicant – A student is currently receiving the J. E. Sirrine Scholarship and is eligible for renewal of the scholarship. A student may be awarded up to four years for undergraduate study at a two- or four-year institution.
Reinstatement – Student has been awarded the J. E. Sirrine Scholarship in a previous year but is notcurrently receiving the scholarship. For example, a student was awarded the scholarship in 2014 but in 2015 the student did not apply as a renewal.
About the Sirrine Scholarship Program
The J. E. Sirrine Scholarship Program was established through the generosity of the late Joseph Emory Sirrine. Mr. Sirrine left the bulk of his estate as a perpetual memorial to his father and mother to be used to assist deserving graduates of Greenville County public high schools or Greenville County charter high schools.

Recipients must have a minimum 2.50 GPA, be involved in extracurricular activities, be accepted to an accredited college or university and demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Three deserving Greenville County scholars will be awarded $1,000 scholarships.

The primary mission of the Watson-Brown Foundation is providing need and merit-based scholarships to select Georgia and South Carolina students attending accredited four-year colleges and universities in the United States. Greenville County is one of the select areas for this scholarship.
